Welcome to our website, we are excited to open our shop to a wider audience. We constantly add new products to the site and if you are interested in any items not shown please contact us and we’ll endeavour to upload the product where possible.
Instep Dance Shed, formally Instep Dance Shoes & Dancewear was established over 25 years, since 1994, during which time we have gained an excellent reputation for providing our customers with a combination of the best price & personal service that we can offer. We are a family run business which has decades of experience in the dance, fitness and gymnastics industry.
We specialise in Dance Shoes for all aspects of dance, from ballet to ballroom, and Dance Wear for ballet, modern, gymnastics and skating along with practice skirts for Latin & ballroom dancing.

Instore Pointe Shoe Fitting Service
We offer an instore Pointe Shoe Fitting service by appointment only.
We like to employ dance students as part of our weekend sales team, bringing an added personal experience, which in itself offers a more informed knowledge of the correct fittings required of both garments and shoes. This is our main objective as a business and why we personally fit all of the little dancers and guide the bigger dancers that come into the shop.
School Visiting Service
Selected uniform taken to your school and sold on a pre-booked day with group pointe shoe fittings offered within this service.
Online Shoe Fitting Service
Online customers can receive this personal service too, if you have any queries please email or call us and we can directly assist you as much as we can before placing your order. We have also included sizing guides online where we think it would be useful, but still feel that you can contact us if it is unclear as you may feel unsure when ordering new brands or products.
Keeping Great Company
We are very lucky to be based within a Craft Centre which has a lovely relaxed family feel to it and offers many other specialised businesses within the site. We are also open Sunday’s with ample onsite parking allowing for easy access to pop in especially as an en-route stop-off!
